Poor turning radius?

Anyone note how poor the turning radius is and/or steering effort?

spr,
No you're the first to point this inconsequential fact. Thank you. Another reason not to buy a BS. BTW, if you think the radius is substandard try driving a GR-R or for that fact any front wheel drive car.
As far as the sterring effort, I find it quite effortless at over 100mph.:)

Depends on how you turn.
Try this:
Turn off ASC
Select manual, first gear
Left foot on brake,
Turn wheel 1/4 turn in desired direction
Rev to 2,000
Release brake
You will turn within the length of the car- good by any standards, and almost no steering effort. Tell us how it works out for ya. AS

:rolf::rolf: that's exactly what I thought when I saw the title of this thread....... very short turning radius, never a problem for me!

Mine can do tight little circles on a 2 car wide driveway :nix:

Jim,

Your CLK Black Series is so fast that you could drive it around the block before an average person could figure out where reverse is located.

Don't get me wrong I like the pcar like steering. I just didn't realize how much more turning radius regular mb's had etc.

I understood what you meant, I was not trying to bust your balls either. There are a few less degrees less L-R directional movement in the steering of a BS compared to a standard W204 CLK. I assume this might have something to do with tie-rods, front sway bar settings and maybe even the width of the front tires, maybe the fat tires rub if the steerring had as much L-R action
