Atlanta area Silver CLK63 Black Series for sale. Anyone know this car?

So this Atlanta area CLK63 Black Series has been for a sale for a long time, and they just dropped the price. It is a little used car dealer and the guy seemed to know the jack root of squat about the car. Does anyone on here know the car? It is said to have Kleemann K1, K2, and K3 parts on it.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

I would like to get it inspected, but the Mercedes dealer cannot get it done for almost a week and a half.

Isn't it crazy how there are these small (sometimes stereotypical cheesy) dealers that show up with high end or rare cars? A lot full of sub-$15k beaters, and a McLaren or something.

I know!! There was a dealer here near my home that had a ratty building (looked like it should be condemned), a lot full of cars in the $2k - $12k range, and then a Ferrari 458 Spider!! I almost crashed my car when I saw it. I swung around to check it out further, figuring it was a replica or something, and it turned out to be real. However, I am almost certain that the place must have been a front for something. Almost none of the employees spoke passable English, and when I started asking about the car, they replied back quite rudely, "It is $180,000. If you know what this car is you won't need to negotiate". LOL!! Okay, buddy. 8 months later the car was still there.

Small dealers that probably started out by flipping salvage cars and screwing people over. They probably got the car at an auction.

Sacramento is full of gypsies like that. Ask him for carfax lol hell probably say cant do unless serious buyer

I asked for a PPI. They agreed to transport it to a Mercedes dealership nearby. So, we'll see what the PPI says.

It has been a busy week at work, so I am just now getting around to updating this so that nobody else wastes their time with these clowns at World Auto in Lilburn, Georgia.

So this car has around 71,000 miles and common sense said to get a PPI. I had it transported to Atlanta Classic Cars, a Mercedes dealership near the selling dealer. They found several items ranging from inconvenient (ashtray door binding, push button start inop, vibration at highway speeds, etc), all the way to much more concerning items such as motor mounts needing replaced, transmission mounts needing replaced, rear main seal leak, and rear intake manifold leak. It totaled around $3,000 without a final cost on what it would be to fix the inoperative horn, push button start, dome lights, and other items.

Here is where the fun begins. Before the car was even inspected the sale guy pushed me to make an offer. I declined to do so with the simple explanation of, "How can I make an offer on a car where I do not know if it is perfect or if it needs $8,000 in work," yet he kept pushing. Very unprofessional, and not even the slightest attempt to build rapport or understand my position. He kept pushing and pushing, so I said, "Fine...since you want a number, take $8,000 off of the car. If you are going to push, I need to cover myself," so he said, "Well...let's wait to see what the inspection says". No *****, buddy! That is what I was saying originally.

Fast forward to the inspection coming back. Salesman asks what it says, and I begin to tell him the issues and that we would need to account for this in the cost (especially since they have had the car since FEBRUARY and it is obviously not moving at their current price) when he interrupts me with, "Look. Let me stop you there. This is collectible car. We don't care how long it sits here. The owner knew that when we bought this car it would take a special type of buyer who appreciates what it is, and is willing to pay. We may even raise the price on it. So let me make that clear to you right now".

I was floored. I won't take you guys blow by blow through this, but he continued to be insulting and unprofessional via text message later in the day. I finally ended with, "Look, I do not appreciate how you are treating a potential customer. Arguing with me when I am explaining why I am offering you $45,000 for a car you paid $31,000 for in February, and that needs several thousand dollars worth of work, is not how you treat someone. Forget it. Have a great day."

Keep in mind, they are only asking around $48k for the car. So my offer was more than reasonable. How do I know how much they paid, you ask? I have the Manheim records from when they bought it as a repo back in February at Manheim Atlanta. Even if they put money into brakes and a few other items, like he claimed to me, my offer still let them make a home run on a car that is honestly probably not worth $45,000 anyway. He was able to get the horn working and the push button start, but there were too many variables, and honestly, I did not trust them since they were combative and pushy from the first moment I spoke with them.

They also claim the car has Kleemann K1, K2, and K3, but have no way to verify it.

Anyway....buyer beware. These guys are your typical slime ***** with no idea how to be professional.

On my don't bother list -

I am very afraid of cars from Florida -

I am aware of two people who had their

cars totaled - took the car to Florida and

were somehow able to get clean titles -

"05/16/2012 BROOKSVILLE, FL12,679Motor Vehicle Dept.TITLE (Title #:0107198370)
DUPLICATE TITLE"

From the Auto Check - this would concern me -

This place - Park Place... so many treat the customer

the same way -

Thank-You
D.B.

i used to own that car, 5 days dealer had title issues had to return it, this dealer bought it at auction for 32k in February of this year, i talked to him several times, offered him 45k , didn't want to sell it, i went on this forum, found BS in Dallas and bought that one, after couple of days this dealer is offering me his car for 46k, he has no clue about it, what kind of car it is etc. so for 46k its not a bad buy....

title issue was, two BS were consigned in NJ to be sold, guy sold the cars ti DIMMIT IN FLORIDA, took money and never payed original owner, that was the reason i had to give the car back, dimmit sold it at auction under RED LIGHT, 4 years ago, this car had 17k miles on it, duplicate title is most likely that same issue

Thank you for the additional background. I agree that I thought my offer of $45k was more than fair, especially knowing that it was allowing them a $13k - $14k profit on the car, and that the car still needed thousands of dollars in work done. I was beyond shocked at how arrogant and just outwardly rude and insulting this dealership was to me. I feel bad for the car, because it has been there all year, and will likely sit there for another year or more unless this dealer gets a reality check. Whenever I hear a car salesman tell me, "Well....the owner of the dealership does not care if we sell the car or not," I just lose all respect for them. "Oh really?? So you guys are a non-profit car museum now??".

Nope. On principle alone I don't want the car from these people. I would rather watch them drown in their arrogance with it.

Any one else have information on this vehicle? I’ve talked to the GM at their dealership and have talked them down quite a bit, but I just want to see if anyone else had anything to add before I commit myself to this car and restoring it to it’s former glory.
