Thank you, I found the tips and the diffuser off of eBay. I had to get custom exaust work done to have the tips welded on.

Kwatann......I see two types of tips on ebay. One has the pipes meet in the center and the other one is off to the side. Which ones did you get?

CURRENT 2018 S560 Coupe & 2018 GLE63S AMG Coupe — SOLD: 2016 CLS550, 2014 SL550, 2012 CLS550,
Does anyone know if you can actually modify the stock w218 diffuser to fit the dual tips? I don't have the measurements of the dual tips so not sure how much the stock diffuser will have to be modified.

Thanks.

The extra that you would have to cut off will be towards the center of the car (drivers side...cut the right of the diffuser/passenger side.....cut the left). You will not be able to modify it since the stock 550 diffuser has that chrome piece in the way. You would have to purchase the OEM amg or an aftermarket diffuser. I purchased the tips but never had them installed since I'm debating on going with an aftermarket exhaust system instead. I'll get some measurements and some pics for you later on when I get the chance.

Ok got you. Yes the chrome piece would look weird if it was cut.

The only thing is that all of the cls63 diffusers that I see have an extra "tail light" and ours do not so would I just leave that empty...

I think I'm just going to go in and have my resonator delete done and leave on the stock tips. Was really hoping to put the dual tips on at the same time but sounds like it's not as easy as I thought.

If you have any suggestion let me know before I abort mission on the dual tips. Thanks

The us spec cls63 doesn't have that light. Only the european models have it, so the OEM amg diffuser you would purchase here in the states will not have the cut out.

AMG exhaust

Hey boys sorry to bring up an old thread, did we ever end up determining which exhaust tips from ebay fit the CLS550, I remember theres 2 types of inlets when I got these for my S Class, the first time around I ordered the wrong tips. Do we want the inlet in the centre? Thanks

CURRENT 2018 S560 Coupe & 2018 GLE63S AMG Coupe — SOLD: 2016 CLS550, 2014 SL550, 2012 CLS550,

I traded in my 2012 CLS for a 2014 SL about a year and a half ago. For both vehicles I didn’t want to deal with cutting/modifying the bumper/diffuser so I did a resonator delete and had the muffler shop weld on some after market dual tips. They are round shape so not the AMG look but worked fine for me and only cost me about $160 total. I’ve attached an image. Sorry I don’t have any more close up pics since I sold the car.

Hey thanks for your reply, do you recall if the inlet part is in the center of aftermarket tips?

I ordered some knockoff 63 tips from China for my '13 CLS550, but to fit requires a lower fascia change.
