C218 Cabin Filter Change DIY 2012 CLS550..?
Hey all!
I've seen some threads that talk about a DIY for changing the Cabin Filter for a 2012 CLS550, but couldn't find the actual DIY steps.
Anyone have a DIY? Not even sure where it is... under the glove box or somewhere in the engine bay?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

The cabin air filter is behind the glovebox on the passengers side. If you look underneath the dash on the passenger side, you'll see some screws and then the cover pulls down. The cabin air filter is behind that. No DIY, but its pretty easy when you see it....

Why do I see other instructions and videos for the box under the hood at the back on the passenger side? Is that a different filter or a different car?

Yes post 2 above applies. Instructions under the hood are for previous 2006-2011 CLS (219).

Thanks all... I changed the cabin air filter on my 2016 CLS today and the instructions/videos posted here were a great help. It's a fairly quick job when you know what you're doing

Curious where did you order the cabin filter. My service B3 is coming up soon, they are changing the oil filter, cabin filter, air filters. Oil change has already been done. Id like to change the cabin filter as well so they can only do the minimum service req.
