Possible to make steering more heavy?

I test drove a CLS today, and felt that the steering was a little too light. Is there a setting to make the steering feel heavier?

Did you drive it in any other mode besides Eco mode? Switching to Sport mode will tighten it up a bit, but that's about it for the steering. Most MB cars have great feel and are better than most of your other power assisted steering. It will take a little getting use to but the steering is laser straight on those and your turning radius will be unmatched for the most part in any other car.

oh ok. I haven't experimented with mine too much. Just had it for two weeks. I'll try again but i believe it's tighter at a lil more higher speed. Did the one you drive have Airmatic? I noticed mine a lil tighter around corners and such at higher speeds with s mode and sport suspension but that was during test drive. I haven't really played with it too much since then. It's defin tighter and better feel than the new BMW's. At low speeds it'll be more effortless feel. I came out of a 2001 E350 sport which had great feel and this felt sportier to me. I wish I could have kept the other car as well. I do miss her. I vote get it. press the gas pedal down and listen to it roar. you can't go wrong.

The weight of the steering is not adjustable. It does free a bit light at low speed but it does tighten up at high speed. The CLS550 is a very stable car at high speed. Try taking up to high speed, that's where the car really shines.

I dont think our cars came with power steering. Thats why its design is so light. For me i prefer it that way.
