Brabus exhaust tips + diffuser?

First mod after getting the CLS will be getting rid of the mufflers and adding a diffuser + hopefully these Brabus exhaust tips. Seein as these have 2 pipes would it fit with the CLS550? I know most people have the exhaust tips as shown in the photo but am wondering if anyone else has done the brabus ones?
Does this seems like something an exhaust shop can modify easily if it wont fit?

Im curious on how the brabus tips would look with the renntech diffuser, I always thought about doing the same thing but never gave it a second thought after installing an aftermarket exhaust. I am sure any competent shop can easily install these but would be nice to know the measurements of the product to make sure it fits the diffuser properly.

As far as them fitting i know they will and it will be pretty flush. Theres is 6mm space remaining
My only worry was the pipping as it is 2 on the brabus tips
I have ordered both parts since the car should be ready in a few days anyway and will update this thread as i go.

Thats right I forgot that the non amg is one outlet for the muffler. Awesome on the purchase, would be greatly appreciated if you could measure the distance between the two holes and the diameter of the holes on the tips. The tips on my exhaust are slip on and I wonder if the brabus tips will fit. Keep us updated

So buying these tips has been more challenging than i thought. I have made 3 purchases so far and they had to get refunded since sellers did not have them in stock.

I found this version which seems easier to isntall even though a little more expensive.
Anyone knows if these will fit our CLS?

I am sure a shop can weld them on but wondering if these are plug and play like they are for the C-class

I have that Renntech style diffuser but never used it as it too aggressive for my taste. Message me if interested.

I highly doubt they will mount with no problems. Tabs on our fake stock exhaust tips are different. Keep us posted.

Thank you
I ended up getting them for $405 Shipped from AliExpress!
Seller wanted a lot more but this is China so you always offer before you buy
Here is the link for the purchase:
http://s.aliexpress.com/VjQJjINN

This is the only seller I found with this color in stock as most carry black only

Not completed yet! I'm expecting it to be done this week. Also getting a front lip installed which requires a front bumper removal.

Still not sure if I should ask to get the valves installed before or after the resonator.

Should be interesting lol

There is no space to install cutouts before the resonator. I would remove the resonator and install them there. With resonant removed it will sound VERY close to CLS63...with cut outs open it will sound obnoxiously loud (not like AMG). OR if you want to drive it like stock (keep resonator) you should install cutouts before rear mufflers. It will have deep rumble when open, not quite like CLS63 but still great sound.

As far as your Brabus tips I am very curious to see final product. It will be interesting how it all plays out since welding it will require some "clever adapters" (assuming they are really steel not aluminum or cast iron) It can be done but it wont be bolt on.

According to the seller they are are 304 Stainless Steel or A2 Stainless steel so its supposed to be HQ but we will see about that lol. This shop has done my previous exhaust and body work so i am hoping they succeed this mission too.

So to get the AMG sound do you suggest to install the cutouts right before the mufflers and remove the resonator?

if i understood you right:

No resonator + Mufflers = AMG like sound (if i open the cutouts this would technically be a straight pipe?)
No Resonator + No Muffler = Stupid loud not worth it (no point of me having cutouts here)
Resonator + No Muffler = deep rumble (No muffler would be replicated by open cutouts)

Thank you for your post

I purchased the brabus tips in the first post on aliexpress and they were cast aluminum even though the description said stainless steel. With that I did not complain as the price compared to the real thing is a bargain and the quality appears to be pretty good. They are not bad with the rt style diffuser, maybe if the tips were a bit larger overall to fill the gaps but regardless it looks great.

On the exhaust note... My cls63 has full straight piping from the turbos to a middle h pipe and back to straight pipe, the mufflers are deleted and the sound is tame when it needs to be. Initial start up is super loud but I have cold start delete so its only for a split second and any hard acceleration is very loud and raw in a good way. For me the turbos with h pipe muffle the sound just enough for a muffler delete to be viable. One small negative is drone around 70-90 mph, its not an annoying drone like on a naturally aspirated engine but its there as long as your foot is on the throttle though rolling up your windows and turning on some music eliminates this issue.

I haven't seen any exhaust videos of a cat, res and muffler delete w218 cls so maybe I am one of the few but I will try to make an exhaust video with an external microphone as my phone mic gets wrecked by the sound.

Thanks for sharing those pics i too think they look great.
Was yours a direct bolt on or did you have to weld? If so would you be able to share some pic of the install?

I guess if the tips were sitting a little higher it would eliminate that gal and make them sit more flush.

You AMG guys have some more options when it comes to sound as your car already sounds amazing from the factory lol

No welding needed on the actual tips, just a plate between the 2 exhaust pipes to hold the tips in place. They slide into 2.5" piping and are very snug. I could have had the tips installed higher but then the bottom side profile of the tips would not match so nicely with the side angle of the diffuser and you can only tell the upper gap if you are on the ground and right up to the car. From every other distance and angle I decided that the current placement looks better.
