I just had to replace both front struts on my CLS550 because it sounded like a 35 year old Honda on its way to the junk yard. It was so loud that I couldn't even enjoy driving the car. I bought the struts for 930.00 each and 180.00 installed. 1 hour of my time and now I can drive the car without listening to bongo drums. Has anyone else had the noisy front end problems as well? They are OEM Mercedes and they FYI they don't sell new ones, only remand ones, made by Monroe and made in Spain. I sure hope I don't have to keep replacing them every 40K miles

Is your CLS airmatic ? That’s very early for airmatic failure imo. Wow, I definitely will be extending the warranty on my moms 2015 pretty soon here.

Wow, I’m shocked. That my major fear for my mothers car. I thought Mercedes had sorted the airmatic suspension issue so that they would at least live to about 100k miles. Scary to still see them dying so early on a car this expensive.

I haven't had any issues with my fronts and I'm on almost 70k miles. The rears on the other hand have been replaced already at 45k and the rear still drops which I think is down to an issue with the distributor block

The rears are just bladders. I only thought my CL600 with the hydro-electric system had a valve block. Had no idea the airmatic
systems had them. Never had any leak downs ever.
