Minor oil leaks near the end of the oil galleys of the left or right cylinder head
Hello,
I noticed an oil leak and took the car to a certified mechanic. He said there is a TSB for this issue.
Complaint: Minor oil leaks near the end of the oil galleys of the left and/or right cylinder head on engines 157, 276 and 278. 1. Left cylinder head: Oil eminating from hole on left beside mechanical vacuum pump. 2. Right cylinder head: Oil eminating from hole below high-pressure pump housing.
Cause: Surface imperfections at the sealing site of the oil galley near the area of the check ball.
Remedy: Installation of a cylinder pin at the end of the oil galley (per the repair description in the documentation).
Anyone had to deal with this before?
