mods this week ^_^

After discussing with a couple of tuners, I settled down the mods this week.
(1) swap lighter 2 pcs rotors (330mm/32 mm in
thickness) the same size of OEM 350/500 front disc.
the weight reduction is about 1.5 Kg/pcs on the
"WHEEL"
(2) swap 50 cell ceramic cats (oem 400 cell ceramic cats)
(3) chip tuning for M272 engine,+25 ps as tuner claims.

By Apr.14 all mods should be done.

Well, not in my plan but the dealer convinced me to swap
the rear brake at the time they're doing the front rotors.

the AMG rear 4 piston/330mm rotors out of V8K models.
I agreed for a special price they offered. :p

Update tonight.
(1) they tested the ceramic cats working fine in lower rpm zone which I'll reject them if feel the TQ loss or impractical as a city commuter.
(2) There's no "extractable chip" on the M272 board,
the new ecu interface reader is on the way here.
Those ME9.2 engine manage system are the same.
They will test it on the new VW, BMW first, make sure
everything works fine, then arrange my CLS later this month.

Pickup my baby this afternoon.
First the 50 cell cats keep the low end TQ well (my top concern) then it sounds throaty at higher rpm zone.
the ecu is re-learning now, probably test it few days later.

Second, the new brake kits as state above fit perfectly as
stock, larger 4 pot/330mm upfront & smaller 4 pot/330mm down the rear, metal brake pipes are also used.

How about the Eibach anti roll bars ?
The dealer is reluctant to sell them, pretty tough job to
install those bars on the W211/W219 models though they've them in stock.
Only if customer insists to have one, they won't sell it.
so I waived that stuff. :p
