Good idea to purchase a new cls550 now?

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about leasing 2010 cls550 in June when my lease is over for clk350, but I'm not so sure if it's a good idea to get a new car now when the completely new cls550 comes out this year. Considering the quality of car and huge discount I might get, I think it is not that bad deal. What do you guys think and suggest? Just go get it or wait little bit and get all new cls550 with possibly no discount at all?

well if your gonna go with the old one anyway, just wait until the new one comes out so that the old one you can bargain more on. like "c'mon this is the old body style, now drop it 10k "

S550 Coupe
I was going to buy a CLS also and decided against it since there is a new model coming out in 8-10 months.

lol its basically what i did with my 2007 e350 sport.

sticker - $37,995

got it for $31k for the car around $3k for tax and extended warranty and i didn't have to pay license or registration because im a 100% disabled veteran.

I agree. new body style will depreciate the old syle so you should get a better deal.

you could even go try when as soon as the new body style is announced.

Only thing i'd add is that if you have a very particular set of options you want, this strategy could make it much tougher to find the exact car you want.

If you're leasing, keep in mind once the new body hits the showroom the lease specials for the current body will get axed.

And if you happen to fall in love with the new body next year, you will pay a premium the 1st year anyway.
