Oh no, I've been assimilated.
Got rid of my 2004 Volvo XC70 and picked up a 2011 Prius yesterday. What a weird little car. Its totally quiet up to 25mpg running on battery. Has very cool display showing fuel efficiencies however when it comes to power its a little scary even my 2006 xb feels like it has more power. Oh well at least I still have my V8 on weekends.
Never in a million years did I think I would be a Prius Driver

and congrats on getting rid of your volvo..
Given the obvious contradiction in your garage, why did you buy the Prius?
1. MPG
Rechargeable batteries in my computers and other devices seem to last about 4-5 years before they don't charge anymore and need to be replaced. What happens when the Prius batteries don't take their charge? New batteries for what, $4-5000? You can buy a lot of gas for that money.
2. Carbon Footprint
And then there's the carbon issue with these cars:

I thought about Diesel VDub but Diesel is too expensive these days, and not as convenient to fill up.
Thanks Hyperion
