today mcobinad comes from England, he wanted me to install his new Led Tail Lights... ;)

got the email its on the way......since the whole world is about to get facelifts.....on there older model CLS ....were is every body getting the taillights from....any help dealer is too expensive....

what it costs to send a PM

I usually buy parts from RM European, but they were about $100 more expensive this time around.

Autopartswarehouse.com had the best price I could find at about $580/pair shipped. Genuine ULO lights with the Mercedes stamp on the back.

As promised on anoter thread, i'm happy to
Show you the video of the first Plug & Play module,
that allows you to swap your old Tail lights for the
LED Tail lights from the 2009+ facelift model.

Every lights work perfectly without generating any error on
Your Instrument Cluster.

To upgrade your tail lights, you'll have to remove the plastic traverse in the trunk to Access all bolts, and bend a little bit side carpets.
Then, unscrew the 5 bolts of the Tail light, swap it with the new one, fix it with the 5 bolts, plug the module on your OEM connector (harness of the car), without cutting anything, and plug the other connector (from the module) to your new Tail light. Then you'll just have to attach the module on the traverse bar above the rear SAM, and that's it ! :)


As you will see on the video, the sample is not completely finished, need to drill a hole In the box to run wires Safely out of it.
Everything will be ok on the finished product.

Need to post some pics where to install the modules.
On the left side, it has to be attached on the metalic bracket above the SAM (/!\ not on the isolation carpet)

On the right side, it has to be attached on the metallic bracket, just behind and under the Airmatic Bottle, using the 2 Colson provided in the kit.

I attached the modules wherever I could find space. I don't recall specifically where I put them. Are you saying that they have to be attached above the SAM on the left and behind the airmatic bottle on the right? Is it a problem that they're fastened in there elsewhere?

Hello,

For better Heat dissipation in some extrem condition, for example summer, and using city lights and warning (hasard) lights for hours, the modules can get hot, that's why i recomand to attach them on metalic brackets, away from soft materials.

I will post good pics to show you where to attach them.

I received my modules. Installed as Frenchy suggested and they work just great. The only issue was when I found out that I had bought one US and one EU version, so one turn light is yellow and one red, real funny. I like the yellow the most. Will see how to get another yellow one latter.

I think you can only order the PCB for the turn signal, since it is possible to remove it after unscrewing the bulbs holder.
