Jerky transmission shifts

I'm cursed. My old car, an 04 c240, developed* the same problem as my new car, a 2006 cls500. I recently purchased the cls and it was incredibly smooth for the first little bit of ownership, no jerkiness/sluggishness whatsoever. I believe the problem occured after I was testing out how fast the car would go in touchshift and floored it from 1st gear in S-mode. Ever since then, the gear shifts have not been as smooth overall, but specifically when I'm going ~10 km/hr and slowing down naturally without my foot on the brake, it is especially jerky(3-2 and 2-1 shifts, as I usually drive in S-mode). The c240 had the same problem and similarly did not have it when I purchased the car.

Tried an ECU reset, I can't really tell if it even made a significant difference. My brake pads are due for replacement as well if that could have anything to do with it! I'm sure it could since the brakes have the SBC system.

I'm also aware that the two cars in question have different transmissions but the problem is nearly identical on both, albeit was worse on the c240.

If anyone can please help me or give me advice, the car is absolutely incredible other than this issue. What am I doing wrong and more importantly how can I correct this?

My car the same issue the day i got my car brand new in 2006. from what i remembered, i found a code/update for the transmission jerk and told mercedes to enter the code/update. they didnt know what i was talking about that time but i just told them to do it. car was perfect since then. i am sure by now they have a software update that fixes the issue at mercedes.

Bump. Does anyone have any information on the update required?

On another note, would changing transmission fluid have any effect?

Request dealer flash engine control module then flash transmission control module if newer software is available. Modules may need to be SCN coded affected shifts may require re-adaptation afterward – reference DTB P-B-27.00/108. If this fails to resolve matter, valve body may need replacement however, before doing so have ATF analyzed to rule out possible mechanical problem http://www.blackstone-labs.com/transmission.php ($25). FYI strongly recommend ATF be changed initially @ 39000 then every 40000 thereafter.

A jerky transmission is persistent with our cars. I had the ATF changed at 39k and adaptions reset twice. And most recently, the body valve was changed along with yet another adaption reset but still no luck. Im tired of going to the dealership for this issue...Any idea were this problem is coming from. It's really sad to see a tranny acting up so soon(50k miles).
