Jerky transmission shifts
I'm cursed. My old car, an 04 c240, developed* the same problem as my new car, a 2006 cls500. I recently purchased the cls and it was incredibly smooth for the first little bit of ownership, no jerkiness/sluggishness whatsoever. I believe the problem occured after I was testing out how fast the car would go in touchshift and floored it from 1st gear in S-mode. Ever since then, the gear shifts have not been as smooth overall, but specifically when I'm going ~10 km/hr and slowing down naturally without my foot on the brake, it is especially jerky(3-2 and 2-1 shifts, as I usually drive in S-mode). The c240 had the same problem and similarly did not have it when I purchased the car.
Tried an ECU reset, I can't really tell if it even made a significant difference. My brake pads are due for replacement as well if that could have anything to do with it! I'm sure it could since the brakes have the SBC system.
I'm also aware that the two cars in question have different transmissions but the problem is nearly identical on both, albeit was worse on the c240.
If anyone can please help me or give me advice, the car is absolutely incredible other than this issue. What am I doing wrong and more importantly how can I correct this?
