CLS550 w/CLS55 AMG exhaust
Hey guys,
I recently installed CLS55 AMG mufflers on my 2007 CLS550. Previous to this, I had taken out my resonators and replaced them with a magnaflow x-pipe. I had it done quite a while ago, but I've just been so busy. After seeing all the posts on amg exhausts and resonator deletes, I finally made time to upload a video for you guys to hear the differences.
w/CLS55 AMG mufflers - it's really dark so you can't really see the car in the video, but I assure you its a 2007 CLS550:

I think the exhaust in the resonator delete video sounds louder than it really is. I think the loudness may be due to the proximity of the camera to the exhaust. The car sounds much better with the CLS55 mufflers, but the resonator delete is an easy and affordable upgrade.

The CLS55 mufflers sound WAY better.
To clarify....Are both setups the same but muffler swap? Meaning xpipe and resonator delete on both?
I assume the resonator is the large center resonator. Were the small resonators (right in front of the large center resonator) also removed?

Yes both exhaust setups have the resonator delete with x-pipe. I originally took out the x-pipe and resonator. And yes that was the large centre resonator plus both of the small resonators in front. I later swapped out my 550 mufflers for the 55 AMG mufflers.
