I bought the car about a month ago and this is one of the things I have been meaning to do. I waited a few weeks but it is truly one of the easiest DYI jobs you can do.

Before I began, I read up on how to remove the center caps and some people mentioned you had to remove the wheels....not true, at least not on my 2009 CLS 550. All you need for the job is a very very small flat head screwdriver to wedge between the wheel and the center cap. It caused no damage at all on my wheels, and they popped out after 1-2 tries.
