Not sure if you guys have seen this..but these are prob the best pics of the future CLS in person I have seen so far.

..looks very awkward..hopefully the hood has more lines..feels like it went from a "coupe" to a "sedan"

Looks they are just creating a bigger E class...I don't like what I see so far but it's early. They shouldve taken the Rapide route but it looks like function is trumping form.

The front looks like a Dodge Ram pickup. They did a good fob with the black tape to screw up the eyeline on the rear but from trying to integrate the S class look to the rear fenders they eliminated the best part of the car and how it follows the roofline. Oh well.

I don't like the direction they are taking the CLS. It is definitely more sedan than coupe now. Those mirrors just look awful hanging from the door.
I'm hoping I'm pleasantly surprised when they finally unveil it.

Not really too radically different. I personally hate the trend towards more angles and less curves. Curves are sexy. Angles look like transformer anime ... not for me, thanks.
Hopefully those are just stickers on the trunk and they didn't bring those lights across. That will look terrible IMO.

Ugh, and who saw the interior? DISGUSTING!!! If you put anyone on a blind test, they would all say the current CLS is the hands down winner. That sexy beauty has been lost with the new one.

Uh yea.... the fact that they put the gear shifter in the steering column will keep me away from buying a new MB.
F10 M5 will be my next car.

Oh well ... I love my CLS55 and wasn't going to get rid of it regardless. This just makes it that much sweeter.

CLS seems to be the last or one of the last models to join the rest of the MB line with the shifter on the steering column and the *** in the center console.
With all the recent commotion about braking problems, and acceleration problems, criticism is directed against new systems that challenge drivers to make quick decisions in the event of a crisis. That new MB shifter on the steering column has been criticized for this reason. When I think about it, it's pretty easy to get my car in neutral, one push of the gear forward.
