Anybody have experience with Renntech?
Tunes? Turbo upgrades etc? Im doing some research and it seems they are one of the few companies out that make performance upgrades for the AMG GTR.... from what i Understand these upgrades from Renntech do not void the factory warantee correct? Im curious to see what others have experienced as far as reliability, performance gains and any other relevant views..... TIA
Edit:
Found article stating this....
"Engine output is also likely to climb in the AMG GT Black Series, with Moers saying there’s “still room for more,” power from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The V8 currently makes 577 hp in the AMG GT R, which is the current AMG GT range-topper. But the seven-speed dual-clutch AMG transmission can’t handle much more power, Moers explained, so don’t expect an absolutely massive jump in power. Something like 50 hp seems like a realistic guess."
So wondering what durability of transmission is once modified given what Moers said?

From what i've gathered, renntech seems to be one the most trusted Euro tuning companies. They have facilities throughout the states and operate within a few MB dealerships. BUT as always, MB can deny your warranty claim if something big goes from having a tune, period. I think the tuning companies offer warranties based on these extreme circumstances, but I may be wrong on that!! Renntech also seems to be the most expensive of all tuners.

I can tell you that having driven the car at COTA it definitely needs a tune to maximize all that suspension. The GTS I’ve driven tuned are monsters, but the lack of traction holds it back. The GTR with the extra wheel width would really wake up that car.

Sure, call Renntech first. Then call Jerry at EuroCharged. Neither will protect your MB warranty and there is no discernable difference between the (GTS) tunes to justify the arrogant price difference. Customer service at EC is excellent.
Ditto, would love to experience a tuned GTR. A tuned GTS is exceptional (arguably more thrilling than the stock GTR) but at its traction limit.

I vote eurocharged. I had renntech tune and it was lagging on 2 out of 3 of my cars. 3rd car Renntech tune is awesome but not sure what happened on 2 s63s. I switched to eurocharged and they are lots better. I essentially lost the money I spent on Renntech tune.

I know Renntech here in FL. One of the top guys there was the service manager where I built and had my E63AMG-S delivered. The dealership and Renntech know each other well so do I. My vehicle is stock but I know who to talk to there.

I have a Renntech tune and coilovers on my GT and I couldn't be happier. Renntech has the rep and the long history and they charge a premium for that. Eurocharged (EC) is clearly a market leader these days particularly with the C63 boys and probably the best value out there. Excellent customer service there by all accounts. We do know that there are no significant difference in the tunes of the top reputable tuners. The companies do have different sales strategies. I currently have a Kleemann tune on my (out of warranty) C63, but will probably be moving over to EC in the near future for that car. One significant difference between the companies is that there are over 30 authorized Renntech dealers residing in MB dealerships in the U.S. No guaranties, but you can get the best assurances from your SA at these dealerships that they will work with you through any potential warranty issues. "We will take care of it." There is a value in this to me. That's my situation. Most of us throw money at our cars and in this regard I would simply say that you should get the tune that you feel most comfortable with based on the circumstances. If you are really watching your budget, EC is the way to go. Really no bad choices.

Quite a lot actually, and we are working on a website update currently. (We have multiple sites and need to get the data all together in one easy format) We just hired a full time web guy for the houston location, and the other bigger locations are doing the same.
Most customers are doing downpipes and tune together.
Tune alone will get you to 700HP. Trq is increased by 120 lb-ft from 2500RPM to 4750RPM. Peak HP is now at 6250RPM

The STG2 tune (Downpipes and tune) will get you to 715HP and trq gains remain about the same.
We have done quite a few of these cars at different Eurocharged owned locations world-wide.
STG3 tune for the GTR is currently being tested.
We offer a 2 week money back guarantee, so no reason not to give it a test!

All tunes typically are not with the normal dealership tools, but if they wanted to send the ecu off they could see it. We can also flash you back to stock for dealer visits if requested. $35 and shipping costs.

Now the eurocharged tune will increase the HP to 700. Renntech is 773hp but is more than twice as expensive. How is Renntech able to get 73 more hp?
Is eurocharged 700hp at crank or wheel? Does anyone know?

Renntech's tune only number is off of their baseline stock GTR that they dynoed, which was 600+ HP. We generally know that MB HP numbers are understated. What they are really claiming is another 50+ HP, closer to EC's math.

Renntech 773 (crank) number is with upgraded turbos, exhaust and downpipes.
My vote goes 100% to Eurocharged. Renntech’s mark-ups are insulting.
I have upgraded turbos on my GTS. EC flew to California from Texas when I asked and spent 2 days on the dyno making sure my car is rock solid. It’s pushing 648 to the wheel or so (765 crank). Tune and turbos ONLY. No downpipes or exhaust.
It’s also dead reliable and consistent and I’m taking it to the track twice a month, back to back runs (I run in 2 groups) and ZERO issues whatsoever.
Can’t beat EC price and customer service.
PS: People that say the GTS with a tune has traction issues... eh... not really. I don’t love the car, it has a lot of flaws but traction isn’t one of them. Brake fade is my biggest ennemy at the track. I don’t have CCB. Ease up on the throttling exiting corners or maybe try new tires. The Michelin 4S are pretty decent.
