Black on Black. $245,000 ( dealer mark up of course ) if anyone is interested: |
Yes you would be very special if you bought at that price. |

I would never buy a dealer markup car no matter how special the car is nor would I buy a 2 seater car that my family can’t use. Not a track car kinda guy so I’m all good here. |

Did it list how much the markup over MSRP was? That black one appears not to have any CF or CC brakes. (-25,000) So it is a lot over MSRP. Rip. ****ing. Off. lol. N/M. I see this is in California. That makes this price even worse. $245K in US dollars!!! |

The GTR is not my thing, but according to the dealer, yes FJ whom is the largest volume Mercedes dealer in SoCal said the GTR Black edition is only 1 of 500 I believe he said and it did have full carbon package including the rear spoiler ( sorry for the bad iPhone photos ). It did not have the CCB which I was quite surprised. I got all my Mercedes from FJ and one of befits is I can get my Mercedes hand washed and interior cleaned for free, as many times I want a week so I will be being my S63 in for a wash tomorrow and get the sticker price and mark up information. As for the markup, if it’s a 1 out of 500 production cars as I was told, markup is invitable. Look at the SLS and the markup on that car and how much it’s selling in the marketplace. |

That is not a special edition GTR. We’re just helping you out bro. It’s obvious you don’t know the latest on this car so don’t get so defensive. You don’t believe everything your salesman/woman tells you, do you? Either way, nice pics. Black looks good on this car. |

Looked at it closely today and the entire roof is carbon fiber. Sure it doesn’t justify the markup, but never seen a carbon roof on a GT base AMG: |

But it’s a special CF black edition roof. |

Oh man.. did I mention I have a special 2019 Blue Edition GTR? Even marking it up to under MSRP.... btw the "BLUE Edition" means I'll be blue if we dont sell it as my boss told me to do grey lol..
I hate markups as an enthusiast.. I don't get involved even here with the G square 4x4, or the black editions or launch edition G63 shennenigans.. |

no Ccb just crazy. This has become one of the biggest problems with dealerships. To be fair they are all doing it not just MB. The only way to get around this is to try and establish a great relationship with your dealer and above the salesperson level. |
$60K? WOW...

They are depreciating toys period ! Sad to see these dealers taking advantage and giving false information. |

Turbo S's still have a better curve than Benz GT cars. I have had 5 and was able to sell almost all of them without taking a fat bath that is usually associated with AMG. But I do get nice up front pricing from PCNA. Right now Turbo S 991.2's are not doing that bad in year 1-2 where we see the steepest curves on depreciation.

That seems to be the exception. 2016 turbo s with low miles are selling for under $150K several with original msrp well north of $200k. In my experience owning multiple 911s, the turbo s trims have the worst depreciation of the various iterations often due to the bloated msrp. Especially compared to the GT3 trims. Peruse Rennlist and you will see this theme.
The average sale at the auction is around 155 with 9k miles-- so about 40-45k in 3 years which is not really bad based on the price point. I know these are just averages and I know there were some builds that got really up there but there were also alot of standard builds in the 190's (Im talking Gen 1's). I personally sold my 2007 Turbo 3 years later for a gain. I sold my 2011 Turbo for a gain 2 years later. I lost money on my 14 and 16's but it was not AMG mind blowing based on the initial price points. TD has a .2 and they are really limited those builds now.... My friend owns a high end dealership here in Newport and he is killing it on the slightly used gen 2's since inventory is so light. Of course as production boosts, then the values will come down. And I 100% agree about the GT3 cars- those things annoy me price wise LOL. |

I live 3 miles from F.J. Newport and drove 60 miles South to purchase my GTS. Wouldn't go near any F.J. stores.......this confirms even more...
|
A mere $60,000 markup. Fletcher Jones must have a line around the block.
I remember when Fletcher Jones sold cheap American cars in downtown L.A. Not too far from USC where Jones had gone to law school. The dealership didn't have a very good reputation then. I see they are striving to go back in time. |

Don’t know the final purchased price, but apparently this Black GTR was special enough to be purchased less than 1 week on the showroom floor. Guess why FJ retain the #1 spot for Socal. That was a fast sale. Happy for the new owner. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...ede898efa.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...7abd95c7c.jpeg |

My bad Vic. I thought I read somewhere you recommended HOI. Yes FJ whole sales allot of their inventory, but also retails out allot though their private FJ stores including NorCal and Las Vegas. Had bad experience working with Keys and thought Rusnak moves more retail than HOI. I could be wrong, but FJ does have its befits. Generally FJ is one with Keyes right behind. Then the challenge for #3 used to be between House and MBZ Laguna... but currently in the Western Region it goes FJ, Keyes, House. And the House sells a ton of used cars which doesnt even count in RDR's (new car numbers). Laguna is dying a slow death now LOL. Rusnak is not close and Ontario runs close with House prob #4 right now. |
is this a 2019 model?
|
2019's arent out yet, December... I have a 19 Blue GTR coming... no markups, maybe a small discount even ;)
