At this point I believe the issue has been resolved. I've put a 600 miles on the car and have not had any issues with the transmission or any other systems. To recap what the dealer did: replaced 3 injectors, moved the other injectors to other locations, cleared the transmission of prior driving history so it had to "learn" my driving style. Based on the cars behavior I am very surprised this fixed the problem but I am confident it did. I have uploaded the dealer notes in case someone more tech savvy than myself see's something I didn't.

I picked up the car this morning. Dealer was unable to recreate or experience the shudder in the drive train I felt. The tech in Germany did not like what he was seeing from the injectors, they replaced 3 and moved 3 to other locations. On the drive home after about 30 minutes of freeway driving, I rolled into the throttle and expected the car to shift down. No change it stayed in 6th gear, flooring it made no difference. Exiting the freeway as the car slowed it skipped 5th and 3rd and stayed in 2nd at a complete stop. Upon accelerating from the stop the car stayed in second then shifted to fourth then 6th. I pulled over shut the car off for a minute restarted and all was normal again. I was told the car would behave differently as it was going to learn my driving style but I don't think this is what they had in mind. I'll document and record events as they happen and send them to my dealer. Our local track is opening up in a few weeks and looking forward to some track time. Just maybe that will make this issue come to a head and be done.
Find a more competent service tech.
As mentioned above, this is a DCT issue, not an injector issue.
