AMG GT getrag problems

We had a revocable program, transmission was changed under warranty, some of the replacements were voluntarily, and now (this year) customers are beginning to refuse to replace the transmission at the expense of the manufacturer. Tell me, did you have a similar problem in Europe with transmission on cars from 2014-2015 years old(С190)? (leakage of the gearbox oil seal )

Customers are beginning to refuse = do you mean dealers or MB is refusing replacements for customers cars?
Cars that are 14-15 years old? No AMG GT is that old yet

I mean 14-15 years of release. Refuses to replace the part(gearbox)
every 2-3 GT(190) sold in the Russian Federation have problems with the box (2014-2015y)

Ah, thanks. All this time I thought 2016 was the first model year.

Still don’t understand what the OP is saying.

An oil seal would be replaced and repaired, it would not call for the entire transmission to be replaced.

Seems like it covers only leaks, and only for 2016MY cars. Must have made a change to 2017 and later models.
But overall good news that Mercedes is doing the right thing!

Just got a new recall notice. The short of it is they have no parts and they will send me a second letter informing me when the parts are ready. But MB also indicated obviously, That there needs to be an inspection.

Your letter appears to reflect the early production vehicle issues. This could be an problem for every GT produced, only MB knows for sure. Voluntary recalls are not subject to time limits when it comes to a remedy. Manufacturers can issue a phased recall so they do not have to pay the cost to repair all affected vehicles at once. I suspect every AMG GT owner 16-18 MY will receive this letter and they are now extending the recall to 2017 MY. Next year will probably be 2018.

Don’t think so. AMG GT sales are small. Mercedes doesn’t need to save money on such a niche vehicle, especially if there is the potential for a safety issue on their halo sports car.

Actually, no, if it's a potential safety issue the manufacturer is 100% obligated to disclose to the public as soon as it's discovered. The CEO, and others, can go to jail, among other large fines. So yeah, if it affected other model years, they would have mentioned it by now

When it comes to liability, I agree its in the best interest of the manufacturer to remedy asap. However, a safety issue does not obligate a manufacture to act, only the NHTSA can do that. Case in point, GM and ignition problems. They knew about it and decided to act only after they were sued by a class action and were forced to remedy. Takata?... the list goes on. My point in all of this is not what is right or wrong. It is my opinion, this happens on various degrees of scale. Why would I be wrong?

I can’t answer why you are wrong, just point out that you are. Those examples you cited prove the point - some of those executives went to jail and there were major lawsuits because they didn’t notify the public when they knew about the issues.

If MB thought this affects MY19+, they would have said so in the letter.

I received my letter in 2019 for my 2016 GTS. Its for the same repair. The love letter says 2016-2018. Hope this concludes the run.
