Flintz It?

Searching online and came across Flintz cleaning product. Researched the product and saw some pictures...all looks good. Just asking the forum. Any positive feedback? Any horror stories?

Thanks

Thumbs down

Couple of things:

I can see this being a useful product on certain surfaces, but none of those would be on a normal car.

Picking up dirt and flying it around on the end of a high speed drill doesn't seem like a good idea.

Using anything that turns in a circle on a high speed drill (read: heat) doesn't seem like a good idea.

Not that great of an idea... there are various products that are better than that and there is no need for a high speed orbital. Polishing rims? Just get some NXT all metal polish ( if they aren't clear coated ) and scrub it in, high polish instantly!, or if you want to polish paint, get a g-100a porter cable for that. Or just hire a detailer, if you live in so cal, i can give a real good recommendation.

Get a mild paint polish such as ColorX by Meguiars and get a clean towel that is a different color that the rims, usually white will do fine. Then apply the product to the rim and rub it in, If your towel turns black on the metal part then they are not clear coated. On the painted part, if it turns the color of the paint, then they are not clear coated as well. Most newer rims are clear coated. A good combo to wheel protectant would be to apply Klasse All in one ( after cleaned from all brake dust if any ) and top it off with Klasse Sealant glaze. Apply as many coats as you like. Klasse AIO first follwed by Klasse SG. It won't make it that it is impossible for brake dust to get on it, but brake dust will settle on it less as well as making it easier to clean up. If i wasnt clear about anything or anybody wants to debate about what i said go ahead. Ill check back in a day or 2

Thanks for the reply. I am about to order the Klasse products to make the brake dust easier to clean from the wheels and to protect them. I just recived the Zaino products and I am wondering if the Zaino or Klasse would be better to protect and seal the wheels.

Thoughts?

I've used Zaino (Z2) on my last 4 cars, including the wheels. Although I've never seen any product that allows brake dust to just be "hosed off", I think the Zaino is as good as any other product out there.
