How do I clean the black off my polished AMG tips?

How do I clean the black off my polished AMG tips?
Tried to use a good metal polish but I loks like some kind of oxidation. Can I use an s.o.s pad?

I use the (powder) barkeepsfriend on my wifes touareg, it removes rust, tarnish and the black gunk.

What polish did you use? I use the P21S Finish Restorer and that will remove just about any road grime, rust, oxidation, etc. Its not a cure all but it cleans any metal surface really well and leaves a great shine on the surface too.

.............comet that you use for pots and pans does the job perfectly.
