btw.. whats this clay stuff u talk about and stuff? if someone can hook me up with sites and stuff maybe i can convince my dad to get some of this and i'll do the SL .. i do have 20 hours of free time almost every weekend.. i love washing the SL

!! btw.. i do get a layer of dust on the car all the time, also whenever my dad drives the car quickyly (70ish mph) and once we park in the garage i find that there are marks on the hood going from the front of the car to the back..

do yall do everything by hand? i wash by hand, shine the entire car and dry by hand, then i wax everything by hand, am i missing something? cuz it takes me sevenish hours to just finish up washing and drying... :P
vraa, i suggest reading all the sticky articles i posted... Clay will basically take all the surface contamination off your paint and make it feel smooth (no gritty feel). I hope you are using good quality towels on that new SL!

Agree! Als got some pretty good suggestions on how to use clay. Think i might do an experiment on my daily driver and use a clay just to see the difference. I felt the paint yesterday and man i needs some serious claying.

Same situation here. I washed mine too and then the day after it rained. All i did was high pressure washed the car and then dried it with the cotton towel and it felt like i just had it waxed.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you ****ing joking me!!!!!! ok, u said hi pressure, does that mean, with a hose, sprayed it on real hard your gonna get tons of scracthes man!!!!!! dont ever spray water on your car if u have to, a light mist will be ok, and better yet, take off the tip of the hose, cant think of what its called, so it is just bare water like a faucet coming out, and wet your car like that b4 you do a z-7 wash, also, when your done, do the same thing, itll get all the water off, well most

Sorry i should've been more specific. That dirt that was on the car is still wet that even using non high psi water the dirt would've fallen off. I mean this is after the rain stop for a few mins. I double checked it and there was no scratch. I even used a microscope just to see it closely and did not see a scratch. And after drying it with the towel just can't believe how smooth the paint is still. Just felt like i had just poilished it with wax. Anyways that's my experience so for others it maybe different.

Actually prior to Zaino none! I would visit my dealer for a free car wash! As you can tell i love the word free. Anyways a good friend of mine W420 (whos also a member of this board) and also Alboston helped me out in this journey on picking Zaino. And can tell you from experience that this is probably the best car treatment for your benz! After i washed the car and applied the Zfx and Z2 wax the result is just amazing. you know when you go to the dealer and check out their showroom condition display cars it's kind of like that but better! I love Zaino!
