Use of clay & scratches
Does using clay cause microfine scrathes in the surface of the paint or clear topcoat which is then filled with either polishes or wax?

~One man’s opinion / observations ~
Detailing clay will not cause surface marring (provided you use a suitable lubricant and periodically knead the clay to provide a clean surface) it removes imbedded pollutants by encapsulation
