Tint Shop Suggestion in SoCal
Can somebody recommend a good tinting service in southern california (Orange county) area? Looking to get my E320 done.
Thanks! |
my I suggest " Whittier Tint Shop" in Whittier, on Whittier Blvd. and the 605. They've done all of my cars and have been in business for over 15 years and handle alot of hi-end cars...in other words they know what they're doing. Fast and friendly (my buddy Tony, is the manager)...should be around $180-190, comes with a 3 year warrenty.
Tony. |
i reccomend autosound located on beach blvd in westminster, had three of my cars titnted there no problems. good service and professional. around 160-180 depending on type of car and number of windows.
|
Thanks for the suggestions.
Do you guys know what type of films these shops use? Warranty? Thanks again. |
if u use titantium tint, the warranty is lifetime. however it may disrupt your cellular serivice.
otherwise standard tint isusually 3 years long |
Rich's Tint Shop in Walnut, CA is the man, one dude in a garage, and let's you watch the whole process....cool guy tell him David in the blue bimmer sent you..
|
There's also A1 Tint in Carson. Good shop. Been around for a while. Make sure you have them put moleskin strips in to prevent scratching the film. Also, ask about using a film that won't cause interruption on your radio antenna.
|
I also want to get my windows tinted but I thought it was illegal to get the driver and passenger windows tinted in California. What kind of problems can you run into with law enforcement if all windows are tinted on the car?
|
i recommend terrific tint, they have two of cars now, they do laguna niguel mercedes, and they have access to the moleskins
|
oh also terrific tint is in mission viejo, off avery

Just an update. I ended up using houseoftints dot com in Tustin CA. They specialize in competition graphic tint. I went with them because they're been around, plus they are just down the street from me. They use SolarGard film. The metallic film has lifetime guarantee, and it did not interfere with my AM/FM/GPS and smartkey reception.
|
i heard that you are only allowed to have a 30% tint in the front windows... i mean like nothing is 0 percent and complete tint ( spray paint :P ) is 100%

For $250 did they do moleskins and did they remove the triangular piece on the rear side windows?
|
They installed feltips instead of moleskins. No they did not remove the triangular piece.
