C200 vs 250 CDI engines (2011)
They have the same engine capacity but different power/torque output - how different are they physically?
Could anyone point me to some resources? TIA |
I think I read that the C250 has a twin turbo set up and stop-start system. Also clearly the ECU is arranged differently. I think that this true for both the petrol and diesel C200/C250.

The 250CDI engines are coded OM651 and are a twin turbo as stated above.
Lots of literature over the net on this engine, here's a couple of useful links for your reviewing :) https://www.google.com.au/search?q=m...w=1865&bih=674 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_OM651_engine And also this: |

:) The C250 petrol IL4 engine is exactly the same 1.8ltr IL4 also found in the C180 but in different states of tune. In some markets though the C180 is badged as a C200 and in others the C180 has a 1.6ltr IL4 engine. |
