Help! Put gas in my 08 GL320
About 3 to 4 of Diesel in tank and adeda8 gal of gas.
Have not started or evrm turned on.
Thinking I need to pull fule pump fuses before we try to unlock transmission for tow.
Thoughts, and which fuses.

Since you haven't started it, you just need to siphon out maybe 10 gal of the 14 gal mixture, and fill it up with real diesel. The small amount of gas left will not be a problem, but if you are worried, just siphon it dry and add the diesel before you start it.

I am sure they are going to charge me too much, but given am 1/2 way on an 800 mile trip pulling a loaded trailer and I have about 4 more trips to do in the next month or so, I did not want to risk an even bigger problem.
Some said that siphoning from the filler was unlikely to get to the bottom of the tank.

I would pull the rear seat out and gain access to the tank via the left AND right side fuel pump and sender. They are covered with black round plates that are secured with 8mm screws.
this is DIY job if you haven't cranked the car.
my bad. Appologies. I thought you had E320. Not sure if you can gain access to the tank from under the seat.

What do you think the dealer is going to do?
I doubt they will be as caution draining the fuel as you are.
You have fuel lines right on top of the engine and electric fuel pump that will run for few seconds with ignition cycling.
Disconnect fuel line at filter, extend it to a can and keep cycling the ignition.
The only trick might be tank shape. E class has saddle tank where returning fuel is pumping the lower passenger side into driver side, so that would have to be siphon via fill pipe.

The biggest problem is I am mid-trip without the time to screw around.
If I was home I would either pull the pump and siphon from there, or pull the line going to the filters and hotwire the fuel pump.
Neither is an easy solution from the parking lot of a BP station in Hurricane WV.
I am not sure where they siphoned from, but they spent a couple of hours on the car and had to replace a few line connectors.
They wanted to replace the fuel filter, but since I never turned the car on, I was sure the gas never got to the filter.
I pulled the pump relay before the tow guys got there.
MB even picked up the tow (Two trucks, a flatbed for the GL and a second to pull the trailer.)
