OM642 Turbo broke after oil change,
Hello guys,
After an oil change my tubo went to heaven,
So I have the amazing OM642 v6 turbo diesel, what an engine. My issue at hand is that the turbo broke, now I have a new one ready for install. But! I just cranked the engine to make sure that the turbo is getting oil, to my amezement no oil is comming out of the "turbo suport block" oem no: 6420961745, so I removed it to check deeper. Always go deeper..
Can't see an obvious clatter or plug, starting the engine again to see if its geting any oil but no... any ideas guys?
youtube video of me testing...

Hi, Charlie, welcome to the forum.
OM642 come with different versions and when I am familiar with earlier one, the newer models- using DEF have several reports about oils turning into puddings, what lead to engine seizures.
I hope you are not having the problem, but testing the oil would be on top of my list.
