Powder Coated Rims on Stock AMG's ?
I saw this yesturday at the Grove Shopping Center on a black E series Coupe.
Looks like it was powder coated to me but not 100% sure.
What do you think?
Maybe the car is owned by someone here?

Is the car lowered on the 20 inch wheels or is that stock height?
I think the grill looks amazing because he has no chrome on the car at all. He took off all the chrome moldings down the doors, window trim, etc. It wouldn't look right otherwise.

I have a black E350 also but I have the chrome moldings and everything on mine. It's a lease so I don't want to get into taking them off. I plan to change the grille but I don't think painting it gloss black would look right. Maybe taping off the chrome border and the Mercedes logo in the center and painting the rest gloss black?
I just think ALL black wouldn't look right and go with the flow of the rest of the car.

That wouldn't look good on the Black 350 the way it comes from the dealership with the chrome moldings and everything. It wouldn't go with the flow of the car. The grill needs to have chrome on it to "match" in my opinion. It looks great on yours because you have no chrome.
