350 Coupe 4-Matic-> E85?
I just got my new E350 Coupe 4matic. I notice on the fuel cap indicates premium unleaded or premium E85.
E85 is not specifically mentioned in the manual.
I'm curious if anyone out there uses or has used E85, and what your thoughts are about that.

Its interesting how inactive this forum is.
For anyone interested, this article convinces me that there is no use in going to E85.

Welcome to the forum.
Have not tried E85 and, if I have a choice, will not.
Sadly, you're right about the lack of activity here.
One obvious reason is that, on a comparative basis, not many of these cars are being driven. That's fine with me. On the road, I rarely meet myself coming the other way. Even less chance of that happening for those who've taken the time and expense to mod their cars.
One other possible reason is that these cars have not been unusually troublesome. People seem most motivated to look for online forums in which to post when they are having issues.
One other possibility: folks are enjoying driving their C/A207's too much to take the time to post.
If you haven't done so yet, check the W212 forum regularly too. Although the chassis are not the same, there is often good info there relevant to our cars and MB in general. With wider distribution of that model, the forum is also appropriately more active.
Please post pix and give us your impressions of the new 4Matic if/when convenient.
Enjoy!

I agree with all your comments. I'm thinking that maybe another reason is that forums are typically frequented by younger folks (at least younger than my 64 years), and on average, a car in this price range is owned by older folk...I don't know...maybe not
Here is a link to photos of my car.
It'll be a while before I have experience with how well the 4Matic works, ie in snow. (Thank goodness...because I'm not a winter lover).
Haven't had the car a week yet. But I'm liking it so far.

Well, I wasn't going to bring up the age factor, but you may be right. Age is getting to be a sensitive topic on this end. Let's just say I can readily identify with your vintage Chevy!
Excellent pictures of your new E350. Thanks for posting them. The interior is gorgeous. Silver should be an easy color to maintain, too.
My last Benz was Brilliant Silver Metallic. It never - and I mean never - showed the dirt. It looked as good the day I traded it as it did the day I bought it new 11 years earlier. I doubt my current color of choice will perform similarly. But I've had several black cars before, so I knew what I was in for.

Thanks. I'll check that out too.
Your current color of choice looks black to me. That is definitely hard to keep clean. I had a black car once many years ago. I'm too lazy. But...I agree with the thought...black can be gorgeous. I see it polished to the hilt on a lot of old cars at car shows I go to, and it is beautiful.

Yep, black. The non-metallic type.
So far there's not a mark or swirl on the paint - 8 months. Excellent MB finish, perfect dealer prep, mild winter, hand washing only, using a power dryer.
Power dryer? Yep. Thanks to a poster over in that W212 forum (again my apologies for the wrong forum) who suggested he uses a leaf blower on his black sedan. It works! Not a single water spot, no drying marks, swirls, etc.
I notice the neighbors are keeping their kids away from me since I've been seen leaf-blowing my Benz, but who cares....that's their problem.
