I'm looking to put new wheels on my '11 E550 cab.
I've decided to not put 18x9.5 ET35 in the rear cause I've been reading it will stick out too much with that offset so I'm going with 8.5s all around since I would like the option to lower in the future. Plus I like that I can rotate the tires as well.
Does anyone see any issue with running four 18x8.5 ET35 wheels & 245/40 tires on all 4 corners? Any reassurance would be nice too.
Thanks!

The rims will likely fit but the right tire sizes need to be considered as well. I run 19x8.5 ET40 Front and 19x9.5 ET45 Rear (255/35 F, 285/30 R) with a pretty flush fitment but the front tire is pretty close to the strut assembly, my rear tire has a bit more room but is still pretty tight. The front inside edge of rim will be 3mm closer to strut assembly which may be fine and the rear inside edge will be 8mm closer which should also be fine. There will be slightly more poke on the front and rear too.
Good luck. Post pics.

Was the spacer required to clear the caliper or was that just for more aggressive stance?
Thanks

There is no issue with caliper, strut is very very close. Spacer makes it look good and clears the the strut by some comfortable distance so sharp cornering won't make the tire rub on the strut.

First of all, i just wanted to say how everyones input is amazing!!
Very quickly, as i want to do this ASAP
I am def getting the Stance SF01 in brush bronze.
Im looking at going with 20x8.5 et 35 and 20x10 et ( 42 or 45 not sure) but I also decided to lower them on the H&R Springs
Biggest concerns are rubbing and sticking out, looking for flush as possible
Thinking about 245-30-20 and 275-30-20 , would the rear wheel be to much and better with 275-25-20?
Any comments on the setup and does anyone have any insight on how the H&R's are? Rough ride??

I can testify to ride quality on H&R springs with 20" wheels. It will not, of course, be as soft as stock wheels and tires on stock suspension. But I think you'll be surprised at how it is still a pretty comfortable ride. I've lowered cars where it rides like there is no suspension at all. This is not one of those cars.

An excuse to photo *****...
19x9 et 38 - 225/35/19 Michelin PSS
19x9.5 et33 - 245/35/19 Michelin PSS
No rubbing at this height. I have camber plates in front. Plan to roll the front fenders and run 10mm spacers.

Hi guys .
looking at getting these
Zito ZS05 wheels . Guys who are selling them are convinced they will fit .Any idea if this fitment will work on my e350 coupe based on their website parameters?
19x.8,5 et35 235/35/R19
19x10 et35 265/30/R19
I know front won't be a problem, however i'm concerned about the rear protruding out of arch a bit ? also to mention i'm running K-sport Coilovers, its dropped , looking for flush fit. Not slammed.
thank you

Driving 3 hours total tomorrow to buy a set. The tires on there are 255-35 front, 285-30 rear on 19s. With these offsets, I hope everything fits.

Very nice! Same tire sizes I run (255/35 19×8.5 ET 40 Front, 285/30 19x9.5 ET 45 Rear).

When I replace them though I think I'm going to go with 235 up front and 265 in the rear. The rear wheels on these are 10 though.

Are you lowered? No issues at all with my setup and stock dynamic suspension (understood our wheel specs were not exactly the same). I like the meatier look of these sizes and it fills wheel well nicely without drop.

yeah they’re totally fine in every day driving. But sometimes I like to go on windy mountain roads aggressively, in rapid elevation changes, I can hear some rubbing on suspension components when the car is in transitions. I think when it’s time for new tires I’ll be going 245 35 and 265 30
