Most people actually assume it's been lowered. As long as you go with thicker tires to eliminate the wheel gaps it gives that illusion. I'll try to get some pics up soon (been meaning to anyway) and you can judge for yourself.

2013 E550 cabriolet
Hey folks, so I wanted to bring up this topic again. I recently bought a 2013 E550 cabriolet and bought 20" Euromags 2 for it . 20x8.5 45 front and 20x10 50 for rears with 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears which seller said would fit fine. I just went to have them installed and fronts are hitting against struts and won't mount. Is it because offset is 45 and not 35 for fronts? Seller telling me a 5-8mm spacer should do the trick.

Thanks for help.
Scott

its most likely the profile of the tires more than the offset. I have a '14, i don't think the struts are any different. But on my fronts i have 20x8.5 offset 42, the tires are 245/30 20, not 245/35 and i don't have any issues. It won't hurt to try those spacers either.

Hope this helps... good luck!

Thanks for the info and I'll pick up the new size tires as you recommend.

You guys were absolutely right. Installed the 245/30/20 on front today and they cleared the strut plate with no rubbing or banging after test ride. Thanks everyone, you guys rock!!!

2015 S550 & 2012 E550 Convertible
2012 E550 Cabrio Help with upgrading wheels and tires

Thanks for the info on the wheels and tire sizes with offsets! I am about to go shopping for wheels for this car I just bought. Did anyone have any issues with the speedometer? Suspension, tire pressure monitors? The service guy at the dealer said I would have a lot of issues with these things. Also, with the stock 18" wheels and tires, I get a VERY stiff ride. Will the larger wheels and tires help with this too?
