can i raise my headlights?

So my 2010 e550 coupe headlights seem a little low. I wish i could raise them up a little?

Can i do so?

They are the xeon headlights and have the active turning thing too.

thanks!

Yes, I believe you can. I also find them too low so will be asking my local shop to do this in 3 weeks when I get my new wheels. I doubt a Merc dealer will do it -- just an assumption - safety?.

called my local MB dealership.. talked to service rep and they said they could do it! But cost $170!!!! WTF?! lol

They said they need a machine to raise the lights?

Then i called a local MB repair shop that has pretty good reviews on yelp. They said they would do it for free...

Hmmmm what do to?!

Is there any doubt?
The MB dealer will likely line up the headlights using a gauge of some sort.
The Indy may not. I'd still go with the indy.

well went to the indy shop and they showed me how to do it. its just like any other car just twist this thing on top of the lights through this hole. allen wrench needed.

so raised them up and they are perfect!

BUT i was wondering about SELF LEVELING on our cars. when i start my car up they do the little dance left right and up and down. but if my car is pointed down on a hill should the lights point up a little? or if going up a bump then should point down a little?

there is absolutely no moment as of levining up and down.

Thanks for the update! Can you please take a pic of the area that needs to be adjusted with the Allen key?

Not sure how this would affect auto leveling. Good point though
