Changes in MPG
I do have a 3.0ltr diesel engine and am wondering if following the emissions scandal with Volkswagen, are Mercedes quietly making changes without telling customers what they are doing???
I am aware that nearly all agree that to pass the emissions tests the changes that MPG will have to reduce, but that this only applied to VAG cars.
The whole point of buying a diesel is better MPG, as the costs of owning one are significantly higher than the petrol equivalent!!!!
Anyone else have any experience????
What I would be concerned with, if I was a owner of any diesel vehicle in general as a result of the VW scandal, is the EPA or some other U.S. or E.U. agency deciding to slap more stringent pollution control requirements on future diesel vehicles. That's about it.
To OP, what service did you have performed and did you go back to MB to report the noticeable change in MPG?

I hope that's not the case. I recently received a tune from OE Tuning on my 550, and my MPG actually improved by about 3-4 MPG!
