Front strut replacement- effort?

Has anyone here ever replaced their front struts?
I was quoted about $1100, including parts.
And I believe the parts are the majority of that.
But I am curious as to the level of effort (time and complexity).

Thank you!

Thank you, sir. I am revisiting my issue after a long time.
I apologize but am unfamiliar with how the following works with MB...
In the TSB thread, I found the following: LI32.25-P-051123.

I am way out of warranty. Does Mercedes fix these for free, or does this TSB really just mean they are supposed to replace the struts with an updated part number? But I would still have to pay?

Thank you again.
