Mercedes Me Connect
I have a 2018 E400 Coupe (purchased in September, 2107 shortly after the new coupe body style went on sale in the US). I have the older Mercedes Me app on my iphone and I use it on a periodic basis. I just found out about the newer Mercedes Me Connect app that is available for 2019 model-year vehicles, and also on the 2018 C and GLE class vehicles. Long story short: I downloaded the app and created an account using my VIN number. I received a message that my car supports Mercedes Me Connect and to go to the dealership who sold me the car to complete the registration process. I contacted Mbrace and spoke with a very helpful rep for Mercedes Me Connect. He confirmed that the new app will work on my car. I mentioned to him that my I purchased my car in September, 2018 and he said that it already has the necessary module to support the new app and that I shouldn’t have any problem. So I have an appointment with the salesperson at the dealership tomorrow afternoon to complete the registration process and pair the app to my car. Fingers crossed that it works! :y |
Keep us updated. I tried the new app a month or so ago (2018 E400C) and no dice. Maybe I don't have the newer module. Thanks for posting.

I was told that you have to take your car to the dealership where you bought/leased it, because they have to verify your creditials and also complete the pairing process. This information was given to me by a customer service rep at the Mercedes Me Connect call center. I’m going down to my dealer this afternoon. I’ll keep you posted... |
Any luck with this?

Found out that my vehicle DOES NOT support Mercedes Me Connect. This after entering my VIN number on the app and receiving a messaging stating that my vehicle supports the new app. Also, received an email from Mercedes Me Connect customer service also saying that my vehicle supports the app and also speaking to a customer service rep in that department. Bottom line: if you have a model year 2018 E class, it WILL NOT support the new app, as it doesn't have the necessary hardware (module).

Same thing here! The app said that my vehicle supports Mercedes me connect. Cintact your MB dealer to proceed. I talked to the dealer and they linked my car to the app. Now I can open de app but I can´t do anything in there... too bad, because in my opinion, the Mercedes me app is quite short and only works 30% of the time... now with a new app I think that percentage is going to decrease even more...

That's too bad and a hassle for sure. Thanks for the followup.

Apparently MB has been having more issues with Mercedes me connect. Just got this email. Other than it being sometime slow to connect, I haven’t noticed any recent issues. It was down about a month ago for a short time. Maybe that’s what this is about. Still hoping for added services though. The ability to control climate settings including heated seats and steering wheel during a remote start, ability to remotely open and close the windows or roof, and activation of remote parking are at the top of my list. We know how frustrating it is when technology doesn’t work the way it should, so we’d like to apologize for the recent disruptions experienced in the Mercedes me app. At Mercedes-Benz, we’re committed to providing a first-class experience to each of our customers, and we can assure you that we’re making every effort to fix the issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience. Best regards, Mercedes me Team |

I never got that email and should have, I've been complaining about my wagon app not working with any of the remote features for a month now, it is a 2018 E450 Wagon. My 2019 E450 Cabriolet the App seems to work fine and I can lock and unlock the doors and remote start it, so it seems it's something with the wagon, it did work for a while.

I have a E450 coupe, the build date is 10\25\2018
It worked fine till the 23d of Jan. I could unlock and remote start it with the app. Now it doesn't work for almost two weeks |
Wow sounds like my situation only it’s been about a month now. That elf in that small town in Germany must pick random cars and permanently decouple them from Mercedes me . |

I even deleted my account from Me connect and made a new authorization with my dealer. And dealer told me that hу had opened all the functions incl. remote start and open\close. And that he can't see any problem. But it still doesn't work So yours still doesn't work? |

I was unable to connect via the app this afternoon. I was able to access through the web portal. I called Mercedes me from the car and was told they are doing upgrades and maintenance today and to try gain in 24 hours. It would be nice if they could notify customers when the system will be down due to maintainance. |
It's a really poorly managed app. The app with my Wagon has not worked in over 6 weeks not, works fine most of the time in my Cabriolet. I've called a lot of days the past 6 weeks trying to get the wagon working again. They just won't give me any answers of anything that works to get the wagon activated again, it's been in the pending state the past 6 weeks. Whoever is the head manager in charge of MB Me should be fired in my opinion. It's just a train wreck. They should at least be able to tell me, oh we will get on it next week and figure out what is going on, I don't even get that kind of answer. It'a all been a complete waste of my time.

I'm convinced you might have a bad hermes module in your wagon. Did they ever go that route and have it checked out?

I got got an email from MB informing me that new Mercedes me connect services will be available beginning April 12th. Has anyone heard what the new services might be? I’ve read that in some markets they will be able to operate the windows and roof and there is a new damage and tow notification capability. It’s not clear if these services will be rolled out in the US. I hope so.

Mercedes Me app is junk. Has a mind of its own and works when it wants to...not when the user wants to. I just gave up on it and don't even try anymore. Nice concept though.

There have been a couple out outages for maintenance that could have been inconvenient if you needed the app though. |
My app works just fine for what it does. I just wish it would allow you to set the climate control and seat warmer when you start the car remotely.
