BMW vs MB - Cabriolet
We have been toying with the idea of replacing the 1999 SL 500 with a more modern, technically advanced, all wheel drive, slightly more powerful cabriolet.
The 4Matic drive train was missing from the E and C Class line ups for a while.
We came across a 2012 BMW 6 Series 650i xDrive Convertible currently for sale in our area.
On doing some research it seems like BMW had a lot of what we currently seek - going on with this new series, back then.
- 400 hp (bumped to 450 in 2013 & on)
- 450 ft-lbs (480 in 2013)
- 4.4 Liter, mV8, bi-turbo
- 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 sec (4.2 in 3013)
- 8 speed transmission
- all wheel drive
- soft top
- Nav
- Heads up, drivers assist
- 16 speaker sound
- $ 35,000 Cdn ($ 26,000 USD)
I have to pay up for a 2017 E Class + C Class to get such features
We have been a loyal MB family since 2002 and am seeking advice from those who have experience with both brands.
Thoughts?

We cross shopped 3 and 6 series in 2016, Wife just didn't like all the tech in the BMW, she found MB easier to use... That 6 series if i remember correctly has very little room in the back seat, whereas as the MB was quite useful, as in if I move the seat up i can still drive with someone behind me, im 6-2.
