2018 Mercedes E400 Coupe
My 2018 E400 Coupe

Hi y’all I’m new to the forum. Last week I purchased an an E400 coupe and let me tell you, what an amazing car!!! I was originally going to lease a new one but decided against it and for the same price I would pay on a lease I bought one instead.

Here are some of the mods I’m planning on doing to my car.

- Chrome delete
- Change the rear defuser to an AMG style
- ArmyTrix Exhaust System (Looking for less expensive alternatives).
- Mandrus Masche 20” Wheels
- Satin Black Wrap

Always open to any recommendations or advice.

I would get some tint on that car to protect the interior. Chrome delete and maybe a front splitter and diffuser side skirts... and for power down pipes, a few people have delete two resonators and kept the muffler for a louder exhaust note.

thanks for the feedback. I already got ceramic tints in the car. I’m stuck between wrap or rims. For the exhaust, I live in California so I can’t touch the down pipes from what I understand. I was thinking about deleting the exhaust instead? I want a nice sound but also not to obnoxious as I drive my kids in it too. What would you recommend?

there are cheaper alternatives for your rear defuser and they come with twin e63 pipes search on eBay for e63 defuser. The one your looking for is a German company about £360 Sterling. I’m toying with the idea myself for my e300

I found an AMG like or replica defuser for $800 on Ali express. This e63 defuser you’re speaking off, it will fit my E400?

thank you for the links. I purchased one from Germany as th UK seller did not ship to US. The price was perfect too $650 shipped. The one I found on Ali Express was $890. So thank you for saving me some money. That will be spent on the side skirts.

Just brought home today a 2018 E400 4Matic. 30,000 miles. The only issue is a creaking rattling sound on not so smooth roads in the rear right area of the backseat. Not too bad but I hope to find it and get rid of it.

Yes they canceled mine as well. I wind up purchasing all original parts for which cost me about $1000. I then found out my car was totaled and passed as a CPO MB and the dealership took the car back. I did take everything off which I only had it on the car for about a week. It’s for sale if you’re interested.

You asked for recommendations and mine would be don't tamper with the exhaust. Really hard to make a V6 sound good. In general modified V6 exhaust sound worse than factory quiet. If you can't take the quiet exhaust save your money for an E53.

It was the seatbelt roller upper thing. Stick your fingers in there and press back and forth to replicate. “I know...that’s what she said..”

How long did it take to discover it? Or should I ask her? LOL. On a more serious note, I will look at that area for the resolution of it but today I also heard a buzzing sound when loud bass notes were playing on the radio. I discovered it was the fuse cover at the bottom of the A pillar. I put double sided 3M tape in the area to hold the cover securely and voila it's gone.
