69 250 ignition timing gear removal HELP!

Hey Everyone,
I've got a single row timing chain M114.920 block 250 and I need to remove the timing gear that drives the ignition and oil pump.... does anyone know how to do this? The gear is bolted to the shaft and it appears to also be pressed on, but there isn't enough clearance to actually remove the gear. I'm sure there's some magic process to get this thing off.... Thanks for any help you can give! :)

Thanks for the suggestion but my block seems to be laid out a little differently (Plus it's a single row timing chain). Here's a quick pic of the area i'm talking about. I apologize it's not a close up, I didn't foresee this problem when I was taking pics.

In the pic I circled the access port i'm talking about. Within that access port is a timing gear that drives the oil pump and distributor. Unfortunately The gear is larger than the access port and i've got no clue how to take this off........ I'm trying to install my new timing chain but it's a sealed chain with no master link......... My other (and preferred) solution would be to find a master link for this chain and cut it. Anyone got any ideas???

Thanks!
