Swap Solex 4a1 to an Edelbrock

Hi! Im want to change the carburation of my car... Wich carburator is the best? I thought about an Quadrajet edelbrock. Send me suggestions and if the edelbrock is easy to install on the m110. Huge thanks!

currently driving 1983 300SD W126, my static display is a 1999 W210 E320 4Matic wagon,
Wow! I am sorry no one has responded to your post. I encountered this Solex on the first Mercedes Benz I worked on for a friend's dad in Indiana. That car was brand new. There must be a better and simpler carbeurator. I saw a CIS fuel injection system at the used parts center for this model car if I had had the opportunity I would have purchased that system for my 230 and ditched the dual carbs. I have been trained on CIS and I believe that the CIS system is simpler than most carburetors. However, I don't know that much. Good luck respectfully, may every day bring you joy

Hi, I own a W123-250-1978 Model inline-6 manual.

Have been using the SOLEX 4A1 and replaced with another locally rebuilt one. Now will trying to pull parts from the old one to fix shortcomings of the one in use. Did you go back to yours?
