Hi All,

I'm a new member here

I own a 1978 MB 280ce USA model.

My engine is shutting off when it reaches to ~190-200 Fahrenheit. It's began since I've replaced the climate control unit. This climate is from a MB diesel engine (it looks like the same unit).
Can it be that this issue is related to the climate control unit?
If yes, do can i adjusting it? And how?

Any idea?

post the AC part number and your VIN!

Where cam sèe the AC P.N. ?
VIN is: 123.053 12 009037.

BTW, engine shuts off in 185 Fahrenheit, so not in 200.

In addition, after some clarifications. It isn't due to the climate control unit..

I am glad you solved your problem, FYI that is not your VIN--look at your registration. You can see the part number of your AC on the invoice when you purchased the used crappy AC unit

The problem wasn't solved yet. I just mention that the engine is shutting down from 185 Fahrenheit and not from 200F.

Could it be that the thermustat isn't open?
Could it be that the vent unit of 2nd speed doesn't work?
About the Climate control, 000 830 03 84 - 94 114 27 109 - p52-102.
