Trying again on 1984 230E
Hi,
A couple of months ago I posted on the W123 forum about this car. I apparently got one reply but I have not been able to access it.
It's a complicated situation--the seller has delegated sale of the car to another person and contact with that person has been difficult, He evidently is not able to take much time to show the car..
Supposedly it was running when put on sale though in need of work (but I can't pin down what work it needs!).
I was present when the go-between tried to jumpstart the car for me with no success. In view of that the price has been reduced today to $500.
I would appreciate advice about whether it's worth it, since it's a Euro model gray market car.
To repeat::it's in need of paint, but body is straight and interior is very good. It has a sunroof, manual windows and automatic transmission. Trunk will not open with key.
Input appreciated!
Ray Mac.
