Driver's seat

The driver's seat in my car feels "squishy" and broken down, like the previous owner weighed 400 pounds. Is there anything that can be done to re-tension it or does the whole thing have to be replaced? The leather is somewhat worn but intact and everything electrical works perfectly. Any idea what this saggyness might cost to fix? Maybe a used seat? It's parchment, I think- kind of tan but not "Saddle".

If your seat feels "squishy" and the previous owner was quite heavy then I would bet that the wire frame inside the seat has been broken in a few places. If you take the seat out (undo 5 bolts) than you should be able to get someone to weld the fractures back together. Otherwise if you don't see any broken metal (unlikely) you can order (part no. 1249101675) foam blocks to fit under the seat to provide additional support.

Thanks, you're the man! Have you done this procedure or know how difficult or time consuming it is? I'm just curious.
