I owned one of those...with the conversion. It was kinda neat for the time...nowadays i think it would look just lame. I sold the car to a porno producer for 15k cash money, in 94'...he was going to put it in a video....lol Met the guy at his place and was greeted by a chick in a revealing outfit with a boa constrictor around her neck. Was pretty crazy..kewl guy though.

I think that would be cool if you were building a drag car, make the next guy think you have a heavy old benz. But thats a definite no no for the daily driver. I've seen the 300CE with those crazy "testarosa" wide body kits. Kinda cheesy but if you're looking for something different it definitely is.

We'll if you're not independently wealthy or won a lotery, then first rob a bank. Followed by finding a very good custom body shop. I've talked to a friend of mine a while back and he was guessing about $15,000 with parts. It quickly changed my mind

that last one looks really good because, it was done properly and styled nicely..definately gets my thumbs up. If you have the money to do a proper job then do it if not don't bother doing a half arsed job unlike the mustage wannabe sl

I was thinking about doing it to a coupe, and going crazy customizing it on all fronts. The price was just for the body conversion and paint. To do the car the way I wanted I figured I would be into a $70,000 price tag. And it would be one awesome car.

Agreed, a conversion like this needs to be done properly. There have been too many wannabe's that have been on the various forums that have turned out poorly and look like they were done on a tight budget.

LOL, I wish I could. But at the moment I'm trying to finish of the renovations on my house, as well as the engine, big brake kit and stereo on my cabrio, and have another child due in October. My garage isn't big enough at the moment to house all the cars we have never mind another. To make matter, I still have to try and make the wife happy!
