Steering KICKs in Tight Bumpy Corners (300TE 4m)

I have noticed this ever since I bought my car. Going around tight bumpy corners at descent speeds the steering will kick hard back and forth almost to the point where the car wants to veer of the road (quite scary when you're going fast). It gives a good metal on metal sound too. I have had 2 mechanics check out my steering and shocks already. They said it's all good. Any idea what could be going on?

Did they check the idler arm bushings?

I have the same problem and I think it's Ball joints.

1993 Mercedes 300e 4-matic (m103 motor)

That was hapening to me. I fixed the problem by replacing the belt tensioner.

BAH! Why didnt I think of that!

DUUUUHH. Check your power steering and belt tensioner. My car used to do the EXACT same thing on tougher turns until I had my smog pump bypassed, the pulley was shot and was making the belt stop at times robbing my power steering.
