Thanks Vili, your ride is coming along I see, good to see a new bunch of guys are keeping the W124 alive and going...

Berti - not to sound conceited or ball'n but when you get to this stage in modding you stop counting $$$$, it's up there bro. The biggest crunch was the CF and the updated black leather interior. I did alot of the suede work myself so that saved me alot of $$. Stay tuned I have a sick speedo cluster in the works.

I don't know where those adjustable thrust arms are.

I've been too busy working on other projects to the point where I don't care much to get into or invest into the other arms. I don't even think I need them as they are not really an necessity.

Hopefully someone will end up making them.

I feel you about the dated and dim cluster lights but out here in So Cali they'll pull you over for anything so that's one thing I won't mess with is the cluster lighting. They have blue led mods for the gauge lighting but you take a big chance of getting ticketed for it.

You know what i was thinking re-painting my cluster and using a whole bunch of UV led lights so i could light up just the numbers and lines without having a really bright led. I may try this one of these days and see how it goes.

About the control arms they came out really good...I kinda can get that effect with the duplicolor red anodizing paint. I've touched up candy red paint jobs with it and it works pretty good.

Powder coating for the DIY

Hey Guys,

I use one of these at work to coat 1 off products. It works really well and you can save yourself a ton of money if you are planning on doing a bunch of stuff. There is a fair amount of color choices. Check out the link.

I just bought the White Face Gauges! I plan on getting some blue, maybe white LED's for the lighting in the cluster. Does anyone know how hard it would be to put these lights in?

if you get the cluster out than the lights are just behind it just twist and pop off and put your new ones on

It works pretty well. I don't think I would try and recoat springs with it but it gives a good appearance on parts that are not going to be bounding or flexing. You could do your tie rods, sway bars, strut tower bars things like that no problem. even your shifter post. It is fairly easy to work. There is a little Gizmo that statically charges and then you just use it like a spray gun and it zaps right to it. You gotta have the surface completely clean but it does pretty well.
