1995 E320 Special Edition
Drive Shaft / Propeller Part # question
I have a '95 E320 sedan needing a new drive shaft (VIN: WDBEA32E4SC258647, tranny 722.369, no ASR, no ASD). The dealer confirms the part #1244109916. This part is not available new anywhere through the dealer or through any independent MB parts suppliers I have found.
A used drive shaft is available on eBay advertised to fit with a part #1244108916. The dealer cannot confirm or identify the difference between the two parts but suggests it could be something as non-relevant as a different grade in materials used. Or, the dimensions may be off slightly but enough to cause problems.
Does anyone have any insight on the subject? Or, any ideas to locate the part other than begin the adventure of crawling under car after car to find the right one at Pick n Pull?
The only option I have found for a new part is also through eBay and made by Dorman. Any insight on the quality of this?
