Finally they're here!

I finally got my H&R springs :D

Also, I'm getting new tires soon. I have 215/55/16...so i was thinking 205/50/16? Maybe 45 since i'll be lowering it?

Hopefully sometime this coming week when I get my oil changed.

nice dood... i wana see the pics of it dorped

i am geting a diff lowering set.... its gone lower it almost the same but another .5inch more.

hey is it hard to change the springs?

YNVDIZW124 Jun 28, 2008 06:56 PM

Not really if you have the correct spring compressor. You don't really need a spring compressor for the rear just the front. You gotta watch out and do it slow because you don't want a spring to pop in your face.

I'm still looking for new tires. What are some nice highly rated high performance all-season tires in 205/50 around 100$ max per tire?

I'm just looking for any suggestions..:y

does anyone have a clue as to what size those pads are?

Thanks, that's better I guess!

I wanted to go lower bump pads, but since they came with the springs I guess I'll leave em alone. It'll be fine for now:y

yeah dude, don't mess around with the springs... i had one pop in my face even using the correct spring compressor. it scared the ****e out of me and maybe hurt my hearing a bit, but no more than the average concert, lol. but needless to say, i could've taken a spring right in the dome.

My dad's friend is a Merc mechanic. Mostly w124, w126, etc..

So he's going to do it for me and I'll assist as much as possible (because it's being done for free):naughty:

Oh, and the tires..

So, Why do you plan to decrease the width of the tire size... I would stick with 215...

STLe320 Jun 30, 2008 06:53 PM

I decided i'm going to go with the 215 come to think of it. I want the side wall more squared off in looks. Not round like my current 55's. Would the sidewall of a 225/45/17 be similar to 215/50/16 in looks?

Final decision on tires:

Bridgestone G-Force

I want these for my car...:(
But my dad's keeping them for his SL...
