The widebody is finally finished...
Took a long time, but well worth the wait.

Wow, beautiful car.
|
nicely done man :y I love the color of your coupe!
|
BAD ASS!!!
|
what are you running 18" OZ's?
|
I'm very picky with how cars are modded, but that looks just amazing. Great job!
:y |
I like the RH drive mirror, I want one for my car, too. I can't stand the big bulky passenger side mirror.
|
Needs an AMG rear bumper and sideskirts to finish the look, other than that it looks great!
|
Om nom nom. Perfection with 2 doors.
|
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I disagree with the AMG rear bumper however. If you were to add anything, I would say a wald ex over the school girl rear skirt any day.
Again though, absolutely amazing. |
WAW
what more is there to say? Amazing job... makes me wanna get one and bring it up to new also! happy driving |
Nick
Looks even better in the sunlight :y Wait until you get the breath of life under your hood :zoom: Beautiful piece.... Ed A. |
Very nice! I love the wheels, and especially the color!
|
I wouldn't change a thing about it. Perfect.
|
would of looked even better if the front wheels had a little more lip to it.
|
Looks great!:y
|
that's sick, just perfect....
|
wow that's hot.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! The car does actually looks better in person than the pictures - the contours of the arches & how they morph into the custom cladding is amazing.
The wheels are 18" Carlsson 2/6's - which were made by OZ, so you are right... AMG side skirts & rear bumper would have been an easy option, but I've never really liked the look of either. The custon fabrication that Mike at Motorwerks did to the original parts to make them flow with the widened front & rear fenders is much more understated, but in my opinion, much more effective. Most people don't even realize that they have been heavily modified..... thanks again all - I have more pictures if you are interested. |
I guess I'd have to see it in person, it does look hot though!
You should enlist in one of the FANTASTIC pro photographers on here or benzworld that would LOVE your car as a subject. The pics above can't possibly do it justice in terms of time and money and expertise! |
We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
https://i32.tinypic.com/256gzme.jpg You just trumped all other C124s in my book! And the TT install will set you that much farther ahead! |
very nice
|
Very nice - been waiting anxiously throughout this time to see the finish product! :) :y
I would personally slam that car on some HRE comps. :D |
By far, the nicest one on here!:y
Very clean, subtle, and sleek! I haven't seen any photos of a better looking car. Are you in LA? Have Zorro take some shots for you. Mark, I volunteered you. |
LOL.....sure, fly me in from Van and I'll shoot it.
haha |
looks sweet!!
|
Very, Very Nice....
|
Drool....
Sweet, make sure your insurance matches the value with improvements. I'd suggest upgrading the rear shelf brake light to a cool LED array to finish her off. It looks like a 2000's car otherwise. |
I have definitely made sure that the coupe is safe on the road!!! Afetr doing some research on the pitfalls of "agreed value" insurance, I suggest that ANYONE with significant modifications to their car take the time to familiarize themselves!!! There are definitely some loop holes to negotiate!
|
what did you use to do that ?
|
simply stunning.
Tasteful is the word of the day. |
Super nice.... looks awesome...

The widebody is covered far beyond it's value for a very reasonable cost. S 500 R - thanks for the compliment... I'm looking forward to seeing your car finished now. |
Needs nothing in my opinion...truly beautiful! Congrats.

Is it just me, or is that tire on backwards? haha
Im guessing it was just a test fit, cuz its the right direction in the other pics. |
very nice coupe
it has clean lines and doesnt need a body kit at all. very well done. |
only lacks a "vtec" or "skyline GTR" windshield banner, lol.
that is sexy as hell. |
Niiicceee car now ya just need to slam it with some 19s'
|

Dont do a thing IMHO... looks great!!! Really nice job very classy, and not Guady like some. Did they make the fender flares from scratch (I.E. planishing hammer and english wheel, ) Or did they graft something on there?? |

All "show" but no "go"?! Who cares!!! :D
The car needs nothing! It is in perfect  shape and stance IMO.... I'd roll it :zoom: even if it has a stock engine in it. |

Nice!
|
Rawr that is awesome looking.
|
Ed,
Great picture - never seen that one before. I'm very tempted to look for a 6.0 coupe in the near future. Not sure when I can get the car over to Willow for the twin turbo install - it's been a hectic few months with the business & travel. Good times in a tough economy, so no complaints. I may buy an enclosed trailer & have it driven over after the first of the year - just need the time! Thanks again to all who have provided positive comments - it means a lot. |

I know the feeling...also having a very good year based on some contra moves I made. Ended up with some cash that I'm putting into hard assets. Bought a house down the street from me to pick up two more garage spaces and have my father-in-law living there. Makes my wife happy and me even happier...two more garage spaces and a place for in-laws to stay when they visit !!! Haven't spoken to Brian for a while, but I think he may be a bit slow. Looking to buy or build something interesting, but also looking to take advantage of the weak market. Specialty Mercs are very attractive ! Ed A. |
For a second I thought it was the car Satish was working on for himself at the shop but I recall he is dropping in a different motor. If I recall correctly he is dropping in a v12. I do however recall seeing your car parked diagonally in a corner of the shop when they doing the flaring. They do very impressive work. The car looks fantastic!!!!

Satish has actually installed an M119 V8 engine into the other coupe, which is actually his Brother-in-law's car. I highly doubt that we will see that car completed for a couple of years. Apparantly they have another customer with a Mosselmann Cab that is very interested in having them perform the same work. With the V12, you must be thinking of his 560SEC that has the M120 engine conversion. An incredible feat of engineering.... |
Well your car came out beautiful!!! I had seen the 560 with the v12, which is amazing because it looks like a factory setup. I guess I just wasn't paying attention that closely in regard to 124 coupe, regardless they are a great shop. I recalll trying to get Satish to fire up the Testarossa in the showroom, but he wasn't having it. Do you reside here in Michigan?
|
absolutely beautiful...when will it be for sale??!! :D

The reason that Satish wouldn't fire up the black Testarossa in the showroom is because that thing smokes like a ***** when started! When will it be up for sale...? It will take me a while to forget what I spent!! |
Funny about the Ferrari smoking on startup, he told me that same thing. I tried to tell him he would be fulfilling my miami vice boyhood fantasy, but Satish was like no. Oh, well it was worth a try. Right now I am getting ready for the snowstorm that is supposed to pummel us tonight and tomorrow. When you putting snow tires on the coupe? Just kidding. I think Motorwerks has an incredible shop. I wonder if Billy found the CL600 or 65 he was looking for.:zoom:
|
Lets see a picture of the rear!
|
Very nice!
|
is it 500e front fenders you got on your car?
it looks pretty good. |
Rear end pictures below as requested. I'm hopng to have the car photographed in a few weeks - these are all taken when I picked the car up a couple of months ago...
They are OEM 500e front fenders on m car... http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...epts/rear1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...epts/rear2.jpg |
Tastefully done! :y
|

Beautiful clean work! Ever consider the E320 trunk lid or flush tail lights?
|
STUNNING!
|
wow I bet your car throws up a pretty good rooster tail in the rain! those are some meaty tires! Love it.
As for the e320 trunk, his car is an e320 coupe. My understanding is that for whatever reason, MB never did a sedan-style e320 trunk on the e320 coupe. They just did the filler panel. Coupe and sedan trunks are not interchangeable. |

I may be mistaken but I thought the E320 coupes had the license pocket stamped into the trunk with the chrome handle like the sedans. That and the bumper strip that wraps around to the rear wheel opening.

The license panel is a seperate piece & as Pete mentioned, the coupe/sedan trunks are quite different. I'm sure that it could be done (anything CAN be done..) though I just didn't feel it as important. Maybe I will change my mind & have it modified n the future....

Pete - the coupe has been added to the "non-rain" list of cars!! Probably overly anal, but I've got so much into this paint, it would kill me.....

How much did just for the rear arches run you?
Any modding necessary to get the 500 fenders to fit on the front? |

very nice.. especially the OZ "carlsson rim"
|
bluecoupe - thanks for them email earlier regarding the rims. Did not see this post until now. Great work on the car!!!
