Anyone got a set of stock springs for e320
I have a cracked spring and I wanna do it on the cheap. If you got a set sittin around let me know what you want for them.

the spring is cracked at the base just above where you would normally see a spring pad. It broke the last 1.5 inches of the spring before the coil flattens out at the base. The car was a Chicago City car and for those who have never driven in a midwest town after a hard winter it is like jumping the snake river canyon on some streets. My guess is it took a nasty hammer blow and trashed it. It was actually like that when I bought it and the front right rim had a chunk taken out so it was most likely an impact issue rather than long term wear. Also we have more salt on the roads than Bonneville, Every time I see your west Coast 124s I am amazed at how ther is no rust. You get a 20 year car out here with no rust and you have found a gem. So salt probably weakened the integrity of the spring.

I have my stock wagon springs that I pulled out when I installed my sportline springs.
The rears are different, but I am pretty sure that you can use the fronts.

Maybe we could put out the feelers for any other Midwest folks and get a small meet together. I think we are the only mid westerners on the w124 forum but maybe some of the other have some yocals. I won't even talk about the cardinals or anything.
